Summer application is different — heat changes everything about how a fragrance behaves on your skin.
Spray on damp skin right after your shower. Damp skin locks in fragrance far better than dry skin, and the cool moisture slows evaporation during the hottest part of the day.
Target your coolest pulse points. In summer, skip the wrists — you’re constantly washing your hands. Instead, focus on the neck, behind the ears, and inner elbows, which stay cooler and drier in the heat.
Apply before you leave the house — not after. Perfume needs a few minutes to settle on skin before heat hits it. If you spray and immediately step into the sun, the top notes burn off almost instantly.
Less is more in summer. Heat naturally amplifies projection, so the two or three sprays that work in winter can easily become overpowering on a hot afternoon. Start lighter than you think you need.
Skip the hair in peak summer heat. The alcohol in perfume can dry out and damage hair in direct sunlight. Stick to skin only during summer months.
